Sanus has introduced a number of new TV wall mounts. Details follow.

(ST. PAUL, Minn.)—Sanus Systems®, the leading global brand of audio/video mounts, furnishings and consumer electronics accessories, announces the shipment of two new Sanus HDpro™ Series full-motion wall mounts with the easiest post-installation adjustment technology available and complete FollowThru™ in-arm cable management, allowing installers to create a clean, professional flat-panel TV display.

VisionMount® models XF228 and LF228 are being offered within the Sanus HDpro™ Series, a collection of products designed specifically for professional AV installers.

“We’ve really listened to the needs of pro-AV installers and reacted through the engineering of our Sanus HDpro™ products,” said Steve Frank, Sanus director of product management. “The features on the new XF228 and LF228, from post-installation adjustment to cable management, make it incredibly easy for an installer to create a professional TV display in any room, and in significantly less time than is required to install mounts without these features.”

Both mounts offer ProSet™ post-installation adjustment, allowing the installer to adjust the height and level the display after the mount is installed on the wall. A major innovation is the FollowThru™ cable management system, which conceals and routes cables through the entire length of the mounting arm-even at the elbow-without inhibiting movement. The mounts also feature pre-assembled interfaces and strong, ultra-light extruded aluminum wall plates for the easiest and quickest installation possible. The QuickConnect™ system allows the TV to easily click into place, lock and also remove with the push of a release tab.

The XF228 and LF228 also offer 28 inches of full-motion extension, Virtual Axis™ fingertip tilt for effortless viewing angle adjustment without the use of tools, an open wall-plate design for generous cable management, and tool-less tension adjustment.

The XF228 supports TVs from 42 to 63 inches and up to 200 lbs., and lists for $619.99. The LF228 supports TVs from 37 to 58 inches and up to 135 lbs., and lists for $469.99 USD.

Premier Mounts has put together a high-end luxury system for plasma and LCD mounting solutions. This integrated lift system allows you to completely conceal the presence of an LCD or plasma TV and use the motorized lift system to bring it in view only when you want to watch TV. Starting at $2500 though, it is only for the most serious applications.

For more details, see the Premier Mounts press release below.

Premier Mounts Introduces the First Fully-Integrated TV Lift System

Motorized lift can be adapted to a variety of home, hospitality and business settings

ANAHEIM, CALIF. (Jan. 8, 2008) – Designing versatile and functional A/V solutions for more than 30 years, Premier Mounts (http://www.premiermounts.com) has expanded its mount portfolio to include motorized lift systems for flat-panel displays. Premier Mounts will introduce the industry’s first fully-integrated motorized lift system at the 2009 CES trade show in Las Vegas (booth #20507).

The use of motorized lifts has become standard in luxury home living rooms, bedrooms and boardrooms. Insert into an existing or customized cabinet, the mount enables homeowners and businesses to hide or conceal their flat-panel TVs at the touch of a button.

“Many consumers and businesses like having the option to hide or put away large flat-panel TVs when not in use,” said Jason Cole, product marketing manager at Premier Mounts. “Not only does it free up space, the lift also maintains the integrity of a room’s design. With so many design options available for cabinets and cases, Premier Mounts’ motorized mounting systems can add a luxurious and customized element to any space.”

Premier Mounts’ LIFT1 (single system) and LIFT2 (dual system) are the simplest, quietest and safest motorized lift systems on the market today. Both systems have a maximum extension (raised height) of 71 inches — one of the highest reaches available. LIFT1 system holds flat-screens up to 52 inches can support up to 180 lbs. and has a MSRP listing of $2,499.99. The dual system, LIFT2, has a MSRP listing of $4,199.99 and can support flat-panels up to 58 inches and 360 lbs.

The Premier Mounts LIFT systems include:
•	Steel three-channel floorboard
•	Self-contained two-speed lift mechanism with no exposed chains
•	Lift controller module
•	Rear support collar
•	Universal flat-panel mount
•	Hinged or floating lid mechanism
Optional equipment available with each system includes an AC Power Sensor ($99.99) and an infrared handheld remote with a wired Control Receiver Panel ($119.99).

If there’s one question that I receive more than any other, it’s about the stand that I used in the How to Wall Mount a TV guide. While selecting the right TV wall mount is important, it’s also a good idea to find a nice piece of furniture to put all of your AV equimpment inside of. Things like DVD and Blu-Ray players, cable and satellite boxes, and video game systems like the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii need a place to reside along with your new LCD or plasma TV.

You want something that has a clean look and goes well with your existing furniture. If you can’t find anything locally (I know this can be hard), consider looking online at Amazon.com. They’ve got some nice AV cabinets that work well with wall mounted TVs. Additionally, if you don’t want to mount your TV on the wall, many of these AV cabinets work well (or were designed to work) as a stand for your large LCD or plasma TV.

Here’s 6 great-looking AV cabinets/stands that will work great with a flat panel TV:

1. Walker Edison 44 inch Cortez Wood TV Console

This TV stand and AV cabinet is available in both black and brown wood. It accommodates most flat-screen TVs up to 65 inches when used as a stand. Obviously, you can make it work with a number of different configurations for wall mounted TVs. You get one shelf spanning across the width of the stand for AV components and a rear access hole for wiring. Additionally, the bottom portion of the cabinet serves as a media storage compartment with two doors for accessing DVDs, games and accessories. Click here see more.

2. Urbane TV Stand-60″

This espresso-colored TV stand features four individual shelves, two of which are adjustable. This unique-looking design features two media drawers in the middle of the cabinet, which divide the component shelves. While you can place an LCD or plasma TV up to 60″ in size on this stand, it will work beautifully with just about any TV above 40″ when mounted on the wall. Click here see more.

3. Linon Sutton 54-Inch Plasma TV Stand, Black

This black TV stand will hold up to a 54″ LCD or plasma TV. It features an open back with plenty of shelf space for AV components and two drawers for media and accessories. Click here see more.

4. Gothic Cabinet Craft Real Wood Plasma TV Stand

This light brown wood TV stand features a single top shelf with a wide cable access hole in the back. Two drawers occupy what would be a bottom drawer and can hold an assortment of media and accessories. Best of all, this TV stand ships as a one piece unit with no assembly required. Click here see more.

5. Techcraft CRE48B Hi Boy Credenzas for 48-Inch Flat Panel Televisions

This black TV stand has a closed front, which is good for AV components that operate via bluetooth remotes or will otherwise be open when watching TV or playing games. AV cabinets with doors can sometimes be irritating when trying to use remotes; however, they come in handy when trying to convince a spouse that there won’t be a bunch of unsightly “stuff” out in the living room if you move a LCD or plasma TV in there. Just be ready for the trade off of aesthetics over function if you decide on a cabinet with doors. Click here see more.

6. 60″ Plasma TV Console with Media Storage – Black

This sleek-looking TV stand features brushed metal legs and handles, which really set off nicely against the black finish. You get 3 center shelves with caple access holes at the back of each shelf. Additionally, there are two media cabinets, one on each side of the shelves, which allow for storage of media and accessories. Click here see more.

After long awaiting HDTV all you want to do is take it out of its box, plug it in and start watching TV. However for that ultimate experience why slack down during the setup when you’ve taken the first step by purchasing such a TV. Mounting the TV using an HDTV wall mount will give it that extra x-factor that will make it all worth it. The following ways will assure that being successful:

1. If something is worth doing it is worth doing perfectly which is the case with the HDTV wall mount. A professional will have everything setup and running within 2 hours for a non-professional could take up to half a day, not to mention the risks involved of damaging the expensive TV,

2. Mounting an HDTV to the wall can be difficult so is best advised to ask for some help

3. The key to any successful task is having the correct set of tools. On a general note the basic tools should do including a measuring tape, screw driver, hammer, drill and anything that may be required.

4. Taking a good look at your home insurance is a good idea when planning to drill through walls incase something goes wrong. At least this way you know you’re protected.

5. The key is choosing the correct HDTV mount for your TV. You could be expected to spend anything between $20 to $100 depending on the quality you go for. One thing you have to make sure is that your mount is able to withstand the weight of the TV. The last thing you want is you buying a cheap mount that can’t hold the weight and in actually fact incurring more costs of which you were trying to save.

6. The positioning of the HDTV mount is also as important. One needs to position the TV in accordance to their daily seating arrangements, there should be near by power sockets to attach to the TV, there should be sufficient space on the wall to be able to tilt the mount and there should also be adequate lighting to enhance the picture quality and effects.

7. Trying to place a TV to high up isn’t the way either. It is recommended you experiment with trial and error first to see how the TV would look at various positions on the wall. Investing time in this would be ideal. The place most people use is jus parallel to ones eye line or just slightly above at most.

8. After paying for that lavishing design of both the TV and HDTV wall mount the last thing you want is a cable lurking around destroying the entire look. Try finding a socket close by or if you have to use extended cables, and then make sure you use a cable pipe to clear up the mess to make it look neat and tidy.

9. Once the HDTV wall mount is installed its time for you to sit back, relax and enjoy your home entertainment experience.

If something is worth appreciating it definitely is worth putting the extra effort in to making it look better. This is the case with the Sanus TV wall mount. Even though trying to mount it on the wall is classified as a huge task especially to mount it correctly, the final result makes it all worthwhile.

The first step to mounting a Sanus TV Wall Mount is determining whether it is capable of being mounted in the first place. This can usually be found on the box of the TV or in the owner manual. You’ll be looking for the words “VESA Compatible” or exactly VESA mount. This stands for Video Electronics Standards Association”. This states that this particular TV can be mounted. The next toughest task is choosing an appropriate wall mount for your SANUS TV. You have to see according to your need whether you would require a tilt in your wall mount or not or be able to make it swivel.

In those regards there are many factory made wall mounts available that can be purchased in the marketplace. They vary from mounts that can turn left and right or even up and down. Then there are mounts that can adjust positions which are somewhat more expensive in contrast to the others that do not offer the adjustability features. All movements are based from a fix point. Like mentioned earlier the weight and size are taken into consideration when choosing a mount as choosing the wrong one could be disastrous. You do however get the same side bars for a Sanus TV wall mount that leans against the wall. This is mainly what gives it support.

After the purchase of the TV wall mount has been made the next important step is to call a professional for installation. There is a possibility of you doing it yourself, but due to the complexity of Sanus TV wall mount this may be a difficult task. The best recommended option is to hire a professional with at least two years of experience.

The next step would lie in deciding where to mount the Sanus TV wall mount. The trouble comes due to your surroundings such as light bulbs causing reflection on the walls, distance between the mounting position and the power socket as well as various others factors that have an impact as well.

Also make sure that you have tools required to complete the task. On many occasions after beginning the task we realize that we forgot something and then need to call a professional instead. This in time leads to time being wasted and the professional that has come in will have problems understanding what and how you were installing the wall mount. This is why we recommend calling a professional from the beginning. It is easier for you as a user as all you have to do is leave him to work for a few hours and come back and see the Sanus wall mount is ready for your television to be placed on it.

While you may be looking for a Sanus TV wall mount, ArmorMount offers the same (if not better) quality TV wall mounts for a fraction of the cost.

This article is a brief intro to mounting a universal TV wall mount. Visit the following link for a more comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to mount a TV on the wall.

A universal TV wall mount usually consists of a metallic plate with slotted holes in them. This is how mounting to the wall becomes possible. It is held in position with the studs that are in the wall. If the plate fits fine in relation to the studs than that’s fine however if it doesn’t you’ll probably need a bigger mount.

Organizing the TV is classified as the trickiest task. Before doing anything you must remove the base from the Universal TV. Depending on your model you will require a certain number of screws to hold the head unit to the wall mounts in place. There is no need for the TV at this stage so leave it on the side otherwise will make things more confusing.

The next step is deciding where to place your TV in the room. This is one of the most important steps seeing you have to decide where the TV will be best placed to suit your daily routines. Remember once it has been installed you can’t move it. So make sure you get it right the first time.

Once you have completed this stage the next stage entitles you in calculating the space around the area you’re going to mount on. Everything must be done with precision and accuracy. Things like checking how high to mount the plate and recognizing the distance the hooks have to be hanged and at what distance are a key aspect in your task being successful.

This will require you to life the plate towards the designated holes in the wall where the screws will be placed. Place one hand on one side of the plate and with the other use a screwdriver to screw in the holes to hold the mount firmly on the wall. Make sure everything is aligned correctly with the studs and remember to locate the level of the plate in advance so you can get the plate absolutely flat in the correct positions.

This step is the most important when it comes to the safety of your TV. You must make sure everything is firmly fitted in and the universal TV wall mount is able to hold the weight of the TV. As the last thing you want is after purchasing an expensive TV and reasonably mount, everything shattering into pieces in front of you.

Just make sure to under go a final check in every procedure you do. From point one of aligning the plate to adding the side bars to screwing it on. Everything has to be done with complete care and accuracy if you want to prevent damages to your TV or have the fear of it falling anytime while watching your favorite program. Some may not feel comfortable in being the do it yourself and this is understandable. After spending so much the last thing one wants are damages you’re TV. If you feel that you truly cannot, then find a trusted installer to help you do it right.

TV Wall Mount Guide recommends wall mounts from ArmorMount, which can also locate and schedule a professional installer for mounts purchased from them.

If you are looking for the best quality and price for tilt TV wall mounts, I highly recommend ArmorMount.

Prior to seeing screens in public area that are mounted to the wall, the trend has now followed in to the average home. Mounting your TV to your wall is considered fashionable and useful as it saves quite a bit of space. Mounting a flat screen TV on to the wall gives it a more graceful look and brings out the full potential of home entertainment. There are mainly pre-set TV wall mounts that are made from the developer based on your chosen TV however developers have now offered a choice of a universal TV wall mount for all users. This plan was introduced in the market to help with installation and less complicate when it comes to setting it up.

The most common yet distinctive wall mount present in the market area is a tilt TV wall mount. It consists of a wall plate that is put on the wall and a guide rail that connects to the rear side of the TV. The rails main functionality is being able to utilize the holes that have been pre-drilled in the back of the TV. The guide is based on a 90 degrees angle which firmly leans against the wall.

Once the hard part of installing a TV wall mount has been accomplished, the easier part of just sliding the TV on can be more easily achieved. Based on the distance from the wall, the tilt TV wall mount can be turned in nearly all directions including, left and right. If ever the TV needed removing all it would require is a simple slide off.

A tilt TV wall mount also offers the feature of being able to change the angle to give it a more executive look. Using a tilt TV wall mount is definitely a more favored option amongst consumers however it is said that in practice it does tend to stick to the wall more. A tilt TV wall mount offers a various range of degree angles that can be possibly used in practice; however it will all come down to the specification of your TV model.

The design is also an important contribution apart from the point of the tilt. Most tilt TV wall mounts only move a certain degree in one direction based on a pivotal point. Nowadays most tilt TV mounts that are manufactured come with a tool to assist in changing the direction to your desired position.

Dependent on the TV set that you buy a standard TV wall mount will not do the trick. Not in terms of trying to sell you a different one, but due to its functionality, some flat screen TV won’t be able to fit on a standard wall mount. Even though they are said to be flat screened, the back edges of the TV screen are said to have extra parts sticking out which in turn makes one have to use an alternative. The only and best alternative for such specific TV sets is a tilt wall mount.

TV Wall Mount Guide recommends ArmorMount tilt TV wall mounts.
